Arne Maasik’s architectural photos are direct, with the best angles and fixed perspectives. These photographs can feel anonymous, because the photographer has not taken on the role of interpreter, but of mediator. These are neutral photos in which the objects function as themselves: the environment is reduced and the lack of action creates a sense of timelessness.
